Still not getting indexed?
So, you followed the directions above and you are still not appearing in Google search results. What are you doing wrong? Here are a few possibilities:
- (a) Your site was temporarily unavailable when the Googlebot was passing through - be patient and hopefully the next time the Googlebot arrives your website will be running.
- (b) Your website has drastic errors - This includes having dead links or orphaned pages that are not allowing the Googlebot to crawl through all the pages of your website.
- (d) You are black listed - Google has the power to omit your website from their search results if they believe you are doing something illegitimate to boost your PageRank. Illegitimate practices include: Cloaking - having text/links on your website that are invisible to browsers, Over-use of Keywords - repeating keywords artificially to boost keyword count, Duplicating material.
- (e) Your page may not be relevant to the search terms you want- if the content of your webpages are not relevant to your keywords, your pages won't appear in search engine results due to low PageRank. Your website may be indexed but not appearing in search engine results due to poor performance in PageRank. You can check if this is the case by searching for your URL as the keyword. For example, if your URL is www.example.com, enter "www.example.com" as your search keyword query. If your website appears in the search engine results, then you are indexed.
These are just a few things that may be keeping your pages from getting indexed in Google and there is no doubt that there are many more. If you still are not getting indexed after reading this article and do not know why, you can ask Internetrix for help.
