Skydive the Beach Group Ltd has had an enormous year with a successful listing on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX:SKB). As long standing digital suppliers to Skydive we were commissioned to build the Group's first dedicated mobile site. With a highly transient target market of holidaymakers and tourists, Skydive needed a website that was build specifically for people who were using their mobile and tablet to look at the various jump zones, pricing and availability. Internetrix delivered the m.skydive.com.au by working closely with the Skydive project team to complete an extensive ecosystem sitemap review that was focussed on removing unneeded page nodes for mobile and tablet users. Once the light weight page structure was finalised we worked up new information architecture layouts and then entered the design phase which produced the new creative aesthetic.
As a large national organisation with a large number of drop zones, brands and domain names a key part of the brief was to make sure that the new dedicated mobile website was able to be managed within existing website platform management systems. Internetrix had already deployed SilverStripe 3.1 as the main website's Content Management System so we simply added the SilverStripe subsite module into the deployment which then allowed the mobile site to be managed from the same SilverStripe admin console.
